In the first Fat Finger sports mini survey, users think that Alabama has almost as good a chance as the Non-SEC field to win this year’s college football national championship. Thirty percent of all respondents, and 35% of those that had an opinion, predicted the Crimson Tide would win their unprecedented third championship in a row.
Vegas has the Crimson Tide at 5/2 (40%) , which after accounting for the vig means the betting market think Bama’s true odds are also 35%.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the spectrum is the team Alabama beat in last year’s title game.
And while college football enjoys all time highs in terms of popularity, most think the players are if not paid like the pros, juicing like them. Which goes to show, fans care far less about steroids than the media does.
